“Think I speak for many artists when I say I’m not sure why I have the need to create art, I just do.  It is stimulating, satisfying and provides a sense of productivity.  My subjects may seem obvious to the viewer but what’s hidden is the challenge I have accepted – recognizing light, emphasizing shadow, and acknowledging reflection.  These exercises are the basis for learning to compose a good work. And I’m still learning.”
